Atlanta Society of Finance and Investment Professionals, the largest CFA Institute member organization in the Southeastern U.S., will welcome Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed as the keynote speaker for the Future of Finance Conference May 18 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.

Mayor Reed will speak about the current state of the financial services and investment management industries in Atlanta, what the government is doing to attract investment firms and talent to Atlanta, and how the industry can better serve Atlantans in the future.

The half-day event is presented by the Atlanta chapters of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association; the National Association of Securities Professionals; the Georgia Securities Association; the Southeastern Hedge Fund Association; and the Association for Corporate Growth. It includes panel discussions about financial knowledge and helping investors make better decisions and transparency and fairness in alternative investments.

The Future of Finance Conference coincides with a proclamation by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal making May Putting Investors First Month.
