Thornton Kennedy is a seasoned communications expert, writer, connector and problem solver. He spent the first chapter of his career in the newsroom as a writer, editor and master multitasker, honing the essential skills that define his work today: crafting engaging stories, delivering clear and accurate messaging, collaborating closely with editors and always meeting the deadline. Drawing on his journalism background, he founded PR South, a boutique public relations firm that helps organizations of all sizes figure out what they need to say, who they need to say it to and why it matters.

Thornton met his wife in a college creative writing class, and they are proud parents of two children — one attending the University of Georgia School of Law and the other at the College of Charleston. An amateur historian, avid urban explorer, hiker and voracious reader, Thornton also continues to write a weekly column for the Northside Neighbor, which you can read here.
